The Manuscript and Planetary Sets
Lansdowne 1202: Armadel’s French Catalogue
McLean describes an eighty-two-pentacle main series in Lansdowne 1202, followed by six drawings for making spirits favourable, twelve associated with infernal spirits, another diagram and planetary figures. These groups form several divisions within the French catalogue. [1]

The manuscript’s different sets
McLean describes Lansdowne 1202 as a French catalogue with an 82-pentacle main series, six drawings for making spirits favourable, twelve associated with infernal spirits, another diagram and planetary figures. The catalogue has several divisions, defined by their purposes, their association with spirits or their planets. [1]
Planetary and other arrangements
Peterson’s transcription records three designs for each of seven planets on manuscript pages 165–171. These local planetary groups sit within the broader Armadel catalogue described by McLean. Comparing their arrangement with Mathers’s seven groups is a question of placement as well as design: a planet can organise one section of a witness without organising the whole volume.
