Purpose in the text
The second Sun notice assigns restraint of the pride and arrogance attributed to solar spirits. It explicitly joins this purpose to the preceding and following pentacles; the third also receives offices of dominion and renown. [1]
The diagram and its inscriptions
Eight spokes carry differentiated terminal characters within a ring of names. The editor gives Shemeshiel, Paimoniah, Rekhodiah and Malkhiel. [1]
Reading the design
The wheel and its terminal characters replace the face of the first design while retaining an office of command. Mathers gives Shemeshiel, Paimoniah, Rekhodiah and Malkhiel. Paimoniah is the name printed here; the notice supplies no identification of this name with the Goetic Paimon. [1]
