Venus’s five green pentacles move from command of spirits to favour and attraction. Their enclosing verses give attachment the forms of a seal, fruitfulness, shared flesh and a melting heart. [1]

The first Venus notice establishes authority over named spirits; the second assigns favour, honour and matters belonging to the planet. The third names Monachiel and specifies Venusian timing. The fourth joins spiritual obedience to the compelled approach of a desired person, while the fifth concentrates on attraction through the sight of the pentacle. [1]
Five different centres
A wheel opens the group, followed by a pentagram, two triangles touching at their points, a divided diamond and a square. Nogahiel, Acheliah, Socodiah or Socohiah, and Nangariel identify the opening company. The third includes Monachiel among its names; IHVH occupies the fourth’s angles. Mathers reads Passing of the River characters in the fifth but leaves two names undeciphered. [1]
The heart, fruitfulness and flesh
The scriptural boundaries give the group a more varied language than attraction alone. Canticles 8:6 places a seal on the heart and arm and compares love’s strength with death. Genesis 1:28 brings fruitfulness and multiplication to the third design; Genesis 2:23–24 brings shared flesh to the fourth. Psalm 22:14 surrounds the fifth with a heart melting like wax. Attachment appears successively as sealing, increase, union and inward yielding, each beside the office of its own notice. [1]
